Kleensteam

The Everpure Kleensteam is for use on boiler type steamer ovens where pre-treatment is required to address the water quality. It incorporates a CV, 5 micron pre-coat filter and Scalestick cartridge for scale control. In some instances the 4CB5 is used. The unit incorporates the facility for deliming with Scalekleen which is a requirement for the effective operation of this piece of equipment. (Blowdown of the boiler every 4 hours is also recommended.) Two models available.

Capacities vary and the Scalestick cartridge should be exchanged every 6 months or when the cartridge is empty (easily viewed through the clear bowl) whichever comes first.

Capacities of all filters (CV5 or 4CB5) may vary according to the influent water quality, the flow rate, the line pressure and the continuity of flow.

Installation Tips:-

  • Choose an accessible location which is suitable to support the weight of a system.
  • Use approved pipe work and fittings Minimum 10mm bore. (seek advice on high flow systems)
  • Do not braze/solder fittings into mounting heads.
  • Never use saddle valve for connection.
  • Do not exceed service flow rate.
  • Flush cartridges to drain at full flow for 5 mins.
  • Install in accordance with water regulations.

Operational Tips:-

  • Change cartridges:-
    - on a regular 6 month preventative basis.
    - when a significant pressure drop occurs.
    - at least annually.
  • Always flush cartridges to drain after changing.
